What the fuck is he doing here? I asked myself as Mr. Rude Blue Eyes glared murderously at Josh as if he was about to send him plummeting twelve feet into the ground. His eyes hadn’t met mine yet; instead, they remained fixated on Josh, who was still on the ground.

“Who the fuck are you?” Josh snapped, and Mr. Rude Blue Eyes narrowed his eyes even further, stepping closer to him with a dangerous stride.

“I’m going to fuck up your life the moment you try to mess with her again. So if you know what’s good for you, I suggest you vanish this instant before you wake up missing a few body parts,” he threatened in a low growl that sent shivers down my spine.

Is he being protective of me? I swallowed a lump in my throat as Josh got up and stumbled toward his car, muttering to Mr. Rude Blue Eyes, “You’re crazy. You’re so crazy.” He got into his car and sped off.
