Chapter 90. Aiden's Rescue

Aiden was sitting in the garden of his apartment. He had been forced by Catherine to go home, and now it was Catherine's turn to look after mine.

Aiden turned to the source of the voice. "Eve."

"Isn't it cold sitting here?" she asked, tightening her coat.

"I'm used to the cold," Aiden said, looking straight ahead. "I didn't realize you knew Catherine."

Evelyn gave a small smile. "Not only do I know her, but we're so close that I think of her as my own sister," Evelyn explained.

How long have you known her? Aiden asked.

We were college friends! Evelyn exclaimed. "I had no idea that you were Mine's biological father."

How funny fate is! Evelyn chuckled.

You're also close to mine?" asked Aiden.

Hmm. I'm already Mine's second mother. I was even a witness when she was born," Evelyn said.
