Chapter 27. Vulnerabilities
He isn’t in the living room when I come out to hand him the soup, so I go to his bedroom to find him resting. Keeping the soup on the table next to him, I take a seat next to him on the bed, looking at his restless sleeping face.
Resting my hand on his forehead, I observed that he was still warm when compared to my body temperature. Letting out a sigh, I walk over to the bathroom to take a small towel and a plastic bowl, filling the bowl with water. Then I walk back to him, soak the towel in the water, wrinkle the excessive water out and then place the towel on his forehead. And then I patiently sit there, looking at him - Ben, you have gone through so much, and for what? Just to be loved without any selfish reasons behind that.
