Chapter 29. The Amusement Park Date
The next morning, after my usual morning routine, I went down to have breakfast, and to my surprise, Ben was sitting there, not reading the paper, and when our eyes met, he smiled at me.
“Good morning.” He chirps up.
“Uhh, morning,” I mumbled and was about to sit at the other end of the table, like every other day, but he pulled the chair that was next to him on his right.
I take a seat without any protest, smiling from the inside. We had a good breakfast together, and he asked me if I could leave early tonight and that he would come to pick me up in person. When I asked him the reason, he just passed me one of his mysterious smiles.
During my entire work hours, I was excited to see him and kept on looking outside the glass door. Evening falls and the customer’s crowd seems to lighten. I changed from the uniform to a light pink top and black jeans, then headed out, wishing everyone a good evening, with my phone and purse.
Looking up, I see the familiar
