"Babe!" Adam calls from the kitchen the second time.

"I'm coming! I'm coming!" I yell, hurrying into one his hoodies and rushing down the stairs.

When I get to the kitchen, I halt in my steps and my eyes widen at the mess. Daisy and Roselyn are sprawled on the floor, covered in flour and eggs.

"What...what happened?" I stutter and the kids giggle.

"I don't know. They were quiet for too long so I decided to check on them. When I got here, they were taking a bath in...in this!" His points at the girls with a terrified look in his eyes.

"Oh my God. Daisy! Roselyn! Up now!" I order and they instantly rise to their feet. Their eyes still glint with amusement and I frown in displeasure.

"What are you doing?"

"Making pancakes." Roselyn says as she rubs the flour on her hands on her face.
