Chapter 84

My footsteps echo through the hallway as I make my way to the balcony. The house feels too airy that it's suffocating as no one is home yet. I slide open the glass door leading to the balcony and the cold marble of the ground sends a jolt through my feet.
My untidy hair swirls round my face as the cool, soft breeze blows the greasy strands everywhere. I try to swipe them out of my eyes but they keep swirling around much to my annoyance.
I overlook the calm neighbourhood from my spot at the balcony and under the dim street lights, I'm able to spot a few people walking about. A few car drive by and their headlights illuminates the dark road.
I remember when Tony first got the house. This was my favourite place to hang out as it always gave me a good view around the environment and also, from up here I could see into the house almost directly opposite.
