I'm glad my mom will be staying with us for two weeks. This means that the girls can finally come home as they'll be under her care and at the same time, close to me.

After she boosts my mood to a considerably positive one, we drift from the topic of my miscarriage and we talk about home.

"Ruby no longer lives in the house. She's moved in with her boyfriend." She says which takes me by surprise.

"What? How come she never told me about this?"

"It must have skipped her. She seems to be absentminde of late." She chuckles.

"And Amber? How's she doing at college?"

"Trust me, if that girl had an alternative way to get a degree without having to go to college, she would have taken it a long time ago." I laugh as I know it's true.
