Chapter 86

Adam throws a striped dress shirt and black slacks over his pajamas as fast as he can. His movements are sloppy and uncoordinated as he only just awakend.

"Hurry! Hurry!" I urge him in panic.

"I'm going as fast as I can!" He replies as he is finally able to slip into his clothes.

It is 3:00am exactly and two minutes ago, we were both awakend by a call on Adam's emergency line. Apparently, there has been an accident and the victims were just recently rushed to the hospital. One of the victims needs an emergency surgery and hence our panic.

"I'll be back as soon as I can." He says.

"Be careful! Good luck!"

"I love you baby."

"I love you too babe."

Adam rushes over to give me a kiss and runs out of the room. I hear his car zoom off and I release a silent prayer that he would get there on time.
