I should have just remained at home. I should have just let this week to roll by but I had come to school anyways and listened to Leah talk about Emily’s case a d now as we went to the hall, I knew trouble was coming.
Because as soon as I entered the assembly hall, I sensed that everyone was there watching, whispering and passing judgment
like I had connived with the devil to deceive Eve in the garden. Ryder has to do something fast about thesebpeople.
Tension was in the air. Students were crammed into rows of plastic chairs, some talking in low serious tones while others laughed too loudly. Principal Hart was standing erect next to the podium on the stage in front, leafing through papers. I couldn’t concentrate on any of that though. because I caught sight of her.
