Chapter 27. Alpha Landon

HAZEL’S POV

“Thank you for your help and kindness,” I said to Alpha Landon as we stood in front of the house, bidding him goodbye.

“You know you were supposed to just see him and return to Damien with me right?” Alpha Landon said eyeing Ervin.

A small laugh escaped my lips. “Trust me. Damien would understand. I am certain he knew that I would not return. That’s not a Hazel thing.”

Alpha Landon smiled turning to Ervin. “Treat her well and protect her. Anything less and trust me, she would no longer be in your arms but mine. Hazel is a sweet soul that deserves nothing but love and protection.

I rolled my eyes while fighting back a smile. I looked up to see Ervin looking down at me with joy and another emotion I could not quite decipher. “I will. You do not have to tell me.”

His gaze was so intense that my heart skipped a bit. I had to look away. This felt so surreal. Like a dream that I would wake up from soon.
