Chapter 26. Powerful
ERVIN’S POV
After Hazel had gone to meet her dad back at the Silver Moon pack, I packed my bags and left.
I kept telling myself that it was for the best. I needed to let Hazel go.
Alpha Landon would be a good match for her. He was strong, powerful, and above all an alpha. She would have a better safer life.
Her father was right. She could get more hurt in my pack. Here she was safe from the rogues. I could not even begin to think of defying him. He was powerful.
The thought of this nagged at me and gave me an unsettling feeling but I tried to comfort myself that if I did find my goddess-given mate, all these would pass. It would be a phase that I would look back to and laugh.
My alter ego kept calling me a coward. He was right. I was a coward.
