Chapter 6. Blush
“What?” I was confused. What did he mean by the wrong route? A yawn escaped my mouth as I stretched my body.
“Stay here,” he mumbled and opened the door of the truck, climbing out. He walked away from my sight to the back of the truck. Although I could not see a thing, I could hear a conversation. Either he was on a phone call, or the sound of the voice of another man reached my ears. Right. He was talking to someone at the back of the truck.
“You should have let me drive, Beta Ervin,” I heard the strange voice say. Oh. The driver. I knew I did see a driver when I stopped the truck earlier. Ervin must have asked him to go to the back so he can drive and be with me.
A blush threatened to break out on my cheeks, but I reeled it in. Ugh. I hated sitting in a place for so long. I had been sitting in this truck for what felt like ages; I needed to stretch my legs.
