"You did what?!" George flared. He nearly choked on his water when Edmond told him he invited Imani to their hike.

"I couldn't say no to her."

"This was supposed to be a friends' outing, there is absolutely no need for her to tag along."

"I know, but it wouldn't make us have less fun than we should. You can invite Makena if you wish."

"That's not the point. You need time away from this woman. If she is joining us, you are not going to enjoy the hike as much as you should."

"I can't tell her she can't come anymore."

"Your problem, mate."

"Why do you become grumpy whenever I mention her name? It's almost as if you two were enemies in your past life," Edmond joked, but George didn't find it funny. He scolded Edmond for giving in to Imani once again.

"By the way, what was that stunt you pulled last night?" George asked. There was a wicked glint in his eyes and it made Edmond uncomfortable.
