Chapter 9
Eros watched from afar from where he stood next to the wall, uninterested in being on the dance floor. He was tired of the lustful glances being thrown his way by the numerous women who had tried to indulge him, but he wasn’t interested in anything they had to offer.
He was already regretting coming here in the first place. He thought he would find solace in here by having a few drinks to himself, but he hadn’t been here for a long time, and he was already irritated by everything around him.
Just as he pushed himself off the wall, out of the corner of his eyes, he caught sight of Aria dancing with reckless abandon before someone walked up to her. It didn’t take long for him to figure out that she was visibly uncomfortable around him.
