“Last time I checked, you’re an immortal.” Aphrodite chuckled. “Or are you starting to feel like a human after a few days of living amongst them? I predicted that this might happen, but you felt I was only reaching.”

“You know how much I despise these guys, Mother.” Eros scoffed.

“That’s the lie you keep telling yourself, but we know the truth.”

“And what is the truth?”

“You’ve got the hots for Aria, son.” Aphrodite teased. “She’s your kryptonite.”

“You’re making speculations, mother. She looks like Psyche, and that’s as many similarities as they’ve got; there’s nothing else to it.” Eros lied smoothly, hoping she would get off his back.

“Is that why you’ve taken on the guise of being invincible to everyone, son? You know better than to lie to your mother.”

“You’ve been watching me, is that it?” Ero
