Chapter 20
Aria checked her watch. It was past midnight. She had spent the past three and half hours brainstorming on a new project with leading figures in the office, and they had come to a conclusion eventually, which would be addressed at the break of dawn.
She saw an empty seat close next to Asher who had his head down, his earpiece plugged in. He was clearly lost in his own world, oblivious to what one of the project managers was saying.
Aria tapped the tabletop, ready to tell him that he could head home and let them clean up, but her words got stuck in her throat when her eyes connected with his.
He had the prettiest and darkest eyes she had ever seen, perfectly accentuating his caramel skin and the beards on his well-chiseled face, making him look even sexier.
He had the eyes of an angel. What really caught her attention was the scar that ran down the side of his face, from the corner of his left eye to his cheek.
