Chapter 21

Asher bolted off the bed and rubbed his eyes. It hadn’t been a nightmare but it was a dream he never thought he would have dreamed of again.

He glanced at the digital clock on the bed stand. He had only been asleep for two hours. His body cried out for more hours of sleep, but he knew he wouldn’t be able to go back to bed.

He wouldn’t want to say it out loud, but he knew he felt slightly uncomfortable after how he addressed Aria before leaving the office.

He hated having someone intrude on his private time, and she had done just that.

He hadn’t bothered to spare her a second glance, but he knew she would’ve broken down.
