Chapter 154. Kit's Last Stand

Aelea was a bit surprised when she arrived at Kit's workshop. Troy wasn't on guard, but she didn't think much of it and entered. There was no one inside, only Ingo sitting on the stairs to the second floor of the mezzanine.

"Ingo?" Aelea called.

Ingo turned around immediately and stood up. The AI approached Aelea and put both hands on her shoulders. "You have to be strong."

"What happened, Ingo?"

"Kit was taken to the hospital."

"Everyone is already there. You better hurry to the hospital."

Aelea ran out of the workshop and sprinted as fast as she could to the hospital. Inside, she felt a pang of guilt. While the others had been planning the rebellion, she had been with Aamon. And earlier she had promised to take care of Kit.
