Chapter 27. Taken by Aamon

Red staggered with one arm in the direction of the forest where the other humans were hiding, followed by Ursula. From behind the trees, figures came out of the woods and stared in disbelief at what had happened. Call's only gun was clipped to Red's pants. Kit ran over to Red and burst into tears when she saw that Red had survived the battle with the robot Tyrannosaurus.

"Are you okay?" Kit asked through her sobs.

Red nodded. "I need to rest, Kit. My arm is killing me."

Suddenly, Red collapsed to the floor and began to lose consciousness as blood began to drip from between her injured arms. Kit panicked and tried to hold Red's body to her chest. She turned to the crowd of people behind her, but no one dared approach.

"Please, help us," Kit begged desperately.

At least there was a support medic among them. There had to be. But the humans only flinched.

"She saved your lives, won't any of you help me?" Kit shouted in annoyance.

The people just
