Emery’s POV

“She was dragged by the security.”

I paused when I was about to enter the washroom after I heard women talking inside. I feel like it’s about me since the employees here have been watching me all day like I’m some kind of enemy.

“Really? How did you know?”

“Girl, I saw the video before it was taken down. She looked so angry while the guards were dragging her out of their company.”

I clenched my jaws. I was right. They’re talking about me. I rested my back against the wall and stared at my nails. My nails are too perfect to grab someone’s hair. I don’t wanna ruin it.

“She was the CEO of that company, right? How did they manage to kick her out?”

“I heard from someone I know in their company that she was just the acting CEO. She led the company for a month before her brother, the real CEO, took over.”
