Chapter 41. Dumb Reasons

Emery’s POV

It was already morning when I came back to the Gray’s mansion. I paused when I ran into Terrence who’s walking down the stairs wearing his usual attire when going to work. His eyes examined my whole body and I could only fight his stares by giving him a blank expression.

His lips parted and it seemed like he wanted to say something when someone walked past him and went straight towards me.

“Emery, good morning.”

From Terrence, my eyes slowly shifted to Tristan. I nodded at him. “Good morning.”

He smiled. “We’re about to eat breakfast. Eat with us.”

I immediately shook my head. “I already had breakfast at my friend’s house, Tristan. Thank you.”

“Ow! Okay!”

“I’ll just go upstairs to prepare.”

He snapped his fingers and smiled. “Oh, right! You’re working in our company. Sure! We can go there together if you want.”

“She’s riding with me, Tristan.” Terrence interfered as he continued walking down the stairs.
