Chapter 45. The Prodigy

Emery’s POV

I was following Terrence towards the conference room. Today, he’s gonna have a presentation to the board of directors of his company. He will introduce a new strategy to make his company remain on the top list of successful businesses in the country.

It’s a waste that my mom’s company was constantly being dragged lower. I couldn’t imagine it failing just because I couldn’t fight for it.

We’re about to enter the elevator when someone bumped into me. The impact was so strong that I fell on the ground and dropped my bag and iPad. My things are even scattered on the ground.

“Hey!” Terrence growled at the man who bumped into me. He walked towards me and started picking the things I dropped while I’m looking at the familiar man who bumped me.

“Sorry…”

I rolled my eyes. “Next time don’t walk around looking elsewhere.”

I know him. He was the man in a motorcycle involved in my accident.

He nodded and left after helping Terren
