Chapter 108. Who Are You?

I killed the engine of the car and then removed my seatbelt and got down from the car. When I closed the door, I saw Josh walking towards me. He had a look of concern plastered on his face as he approached. 

“Are you okay?” He asked when he had closed the distance between us. 

I forced a smile and replied, “Not really, but I will be fine.” Well, I hope that was true because I was gradually losing my mind and my will to even live. That sounded morbid, but that was just the truth. 

Or maybe that was just the depression. 

“Yeah, you will.” He pulled me close to him and our shoulders met before letting me go. Then we headed into the house. This time, Mark was not there. He was probably at work. But my father was home. 

I was grateful that he was because what if he had gone out to run some errands? What if he would have been somewhere else? Well, that was not the case and as I said, I was grateful for that.
