Josh locked eyes with me and with a calm expression, he replied, “I have some connections, I explained what truly happened and now the case is closed. It’s that simple. If anything, you should be thanking me.”
“Okay, wait. I get that the case closing is helpful and all that, but honestly, it’s not helpful to Nora. “Seriously, Lisa? What the f*ck?” He did not even let me finish what was saying. And honestly, I was grateful that he didn’t because I should have never accused him. It was just a random thought and fear that had jumped into my head, something that I should have never voiced out.
