Chapter 111. Lemongrass

I stood there, frozen and not even knowing what to do or what to say. I was not really good at being there for someone when they cried or were in emotional distress.

Especially when I was suffering too. So yeah, I just stood there, not saying anything as I listened to Nora’s mother sob loudly. 

She sounded so broken and I could tell that her world had crumbled down to pieces. She and her daughter were really close. 

They were like sisters and would visit each other every month even though they lived in different states. My heart went out to her, I was really sorry for her. 

I wished that I could do something, I wished that I could know why to say that would help her feel better but honestly, I didn’t think anything I’d say right now would ease the pain she was feeling right now.

So I listened, I just listened to her cry and told me how she didn’t know how she was going to get through this.
