Chapter 125. Confession
Detective Jacobs stopped in front of a metal door and pulled out a set of keys from his pocket. “This is the room,” He muttered, unlocking the door with a swift twist of his wrist. “You have twenty minutes. That’s all I’m giving you.”
Bradley nodded curtly, not bothering to respond. He opened the door and gestured for me to enter first. The room was small and dimly lit, with a single table and two chairs. It was a far cry from the intimidating interrogation rooms seen on TV–this one was sterile, almost clinical in its coldness.
Mark was already there, sitting at the table with his hands cuffed in front of him. There was a dull and defeated look on his face but it lit up when he saw me. There were dark circles under his eyes and the weariness in his expression made my heart clench.
