“No,” Bradley confirmed, his tone firm yet not unsympathetic. “But we will do everything we can do to make sure you’re there any longer than you need to be. My lawyer is the best in the business; he will make sure your rights are protected, and we will dig into who set you up. If there’s any chance of proving your innocence, we will find it.”
“But I’m not innocent,” Mark replied. “Even if I was set up, we all know that I’m not innocent.” His shoulders sagged even further as if the weight of the situation had finally crushed any remaining hope he had.
“Do you want to get out of here or not?” Bradley asked in a bored tone.
“Yes, I do but–”
“Then shut up, sit tight, and let me help you,” The CEO replied firmly.
“Okay,” Mark said softly as he nodded slowly. “Thank you.”
