Chapter 161. Meet Me at the Station

The car ride was quiet but I did not mind. I was not the one driving because as you know, my baby had been tampered with and was now destroyed because of the crash. 

I was not worried about it but I did feel kind of bad because it had a lot of memories and I would have to buy a new one. I adjusted myself in the car seat and stared out the window at the passing scenery. 

“Are you okay?” Josh broke the silence, glancing at me for a few seconds before looking back at the road. “You’re very quiet.” 

“I just want us to find who’s doing all of this. I’m tired, Josh. I really am sorry. I thought that being a vampire would have made everything much easier but it didn’t. I think everything just got way more complicated.” I peeled my eyes off the scenery and looked at him as I talked. 

“It will get better, Lisa. I promise you that. It is all falling into place. You know how those pretty bushes and trees have to go through pruning so their beauty can show?
