Chapter 221. Soulmates

With my heart thumping in my chest, I watched Josh come up closer to me. He kept walking until he was right in front of me as I was sitting on the bed.

“Is—is everything alright?” I asked him, fear tinged on my tone a bit. I needed to know why he was like this. 

“Did you have anything to do with it?” He asked, his tone rough.

“With what?” I was even more confused now. I furrowed my brows in confusion and swallowed hard. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” And I was telling the truth. 

“Bradley! I’m talking about Bradley! How the hell did he get out of jail?” Josh seemed so annoyed by this. 

Bradley was out of jail? I didn’t know until now. Knowing that made me feel somehow hopeful, that maybe the CEO was going to help me out from this mess that Josh had shoved me in.
