Chapter 223. COO

My heart was heavy with anxiety and my stomach was stirring. I adjusted myself in the seat of the car and focused on the passing tall buildings. 

So this was it, this was the plan. Pretending like I was an obedient slave for Josh—someone who would do everything he wanted to do.

This was the plan, to keep him distracted long enough for him to be taken down by Bradley and the others.

When we arrived, he parked and I got out of the house first, not wanting to be in the same space with him for any longer.

He made me annoyed, if not pissed.
