Chapter 255. Unethical

“Dr. Caldwell,” Josh greeted the man with a nod as he reached us. 

The concern on the man’s face deepened as he adjusted his glasses and gave me a brief, curious glance before focusing back on Josh. “I was not expecting you here tonight,” He said, hs voice low but urgent. 

“Well, it’s my lab and my money involved, I think I get to show up anytime that I want, right?” Josh chuckled, and I did not even know what to do or say. “Anyway, this is…” He turned towards me and nodded my way before continuing, “...this is Lisa, she’s my close friend.” 

“Close friend,” The man repeated the words as he gave me a tight smile. I could see that the man wanted to talk to his boss urgently. He turned back to Josh. “Is it possible if I can talk to you in private? It’s important.” 

“Whatever you want to say, you can say in front of Lisa. She knows about what we’re doing here.” 

“You told her?” He seemed taken aback. “Sir…” 

“Dr. Caldwell, I’d s
