I sat there in stunned silence, the weight of my thoughts pressing down on me like a heavy blanket, even heavier than the duvet that was now wrapped around my body. 

My breathing was erratic, and the shame clawed at my insides. What had just happened? Josh? Of all people, how did my mind betray me like that?
