Chapter 271. That's Betrayal, Right?

The room fell into a stunned silence as my words hung in the air. Bradley and Mike exchanged looks, their initial excitement and intrigue replaced by something darker. This was not just a small favor or an inside tip—it was a secret that could destroy Josh if used the wrong way.

What had I done? It was after I had said it that I realized that I had messed up. Why did I do it? Yeah, I wanted to help Bradley so he could get his company back but at the same time, I think I was trying to compensate for what I had done to Mark. 

That was one of the only explanations. My heart thumped in my chest and I touched my hair nervously as I watched the looks on their faces. They looked like they had just struck gold. 

“Lisa, why didn’t you tell us this ever since?” Mike asked, chuckling happily as he pulled out his phone. It looked like he was texting someone while at the same time, being invested in what was happening. 

“I mean, I knew that he had something to do
