“I understand, officer,” I began calmly, stepping forward. “But we’re the CEO and COO of this company. We have a right to know what’s going on, especially since this involves our employees.” I gestured toward Bradley, who was still on the floor, being tended to by the paramedics.
The officer sighed, clearly frustrated, but he nodded slightly, recognizing our authority. “Look, we’re still trying to be piece everything together, but it seems like there was an altercation. This man—” he pointed to the guy handcuffed to the door, “ —broke into the building, confronted Mr. Bradley, and things escalated quickly. Shots were fired.”
I swallowed hard, glancing at Bradley, who was pale but conscious. “Is he going to be okay?” I asked, my voice laced with concern.
