Chapter 278. Renovation

It was the next morning and what woke me up was not the birds chirping or the sunlight gracefully beaming from the window, it was the loud clnking of something. 

My eyes did not flutter open, they flew open. I sat up on the bed with my heart thumping in my chest. I was annoyed, I did not like to be waken up this way. I hated it. 

The sound continued as I dragged myself from the bed. It sounded like someone was fixing something, and it sounded like it was coming from right in the house. With my feet on the cold floor, I first went to the bathroom. 

I groaned in annoyance as the sound persisted. Who in the world would be working this early in the morning? Could they not wait until everyone had woken up first? 

After peeing, I washed my hands before brushing my teeth and washing my face. I did not want to go out of the room without taking a shower because I felt like if I do that, I would just be lazy for the rest of the day.
