Chapter 276. Waiting for You

If you asked me, I would probably tell you that I wanted to be alone. That was what I wanted. But if you asked me on a deeper level, do you know what I would say? I would say that I wanted my old life back. 

I wanted my grandma to be alive again, but I missed our weekly visits. I would say that I wanted to be the Lisa who had never known whether her fiance was screwing her best friend. I would say that I wanted to be the Lisa who had never worked at Eternity Limited and gotten the corner office. 

I would say that I would want to be the old Lisa who continued to work for Powerhouse Designs; who had her life figured out and planned as if she was sure that it was all going to go just how she had planned or predicted. 

I wanted that ignorance again. I wanted to be in the dark more than ever before right now. But most of all, I wanted to be able to worry about stupid and vain things again, not about the things that I now worried about.
