Chapter 39. The Truth

My heart skipped a beat and I did not know what to do. It was Bradley. I hated how he had answered when we had talked on the phone previously. It made me feel like I was begging to stay at his place.

“Go away!” I said loudly before resuming the show on the TV. I tried to watch what was playing but I really could not, I kept running the realization that the CEO was right out there. He continued to knock but I continued to ignore him.
