Chapter 47. Newly Wedded

My makeup. It just kept getting ruined. It just kept getting messed up. But I didn’t care at this point. I just wanted the pain to stop. 

And every time that I cried, it sort of did. Even if that was for a few minutes, it did. After what felt like an eternity, I stood up to my feet and sighed. I had a headache and my throat felt raw. 

I pressed the red button, causing the alarm to stop blaring and for the elevator to start moving again. I tried to fix my hair and make-up by using my phone’s camera but there was no use and I kept making it worse so I just gave up.

When the elevator came to a stop, the automated doors opened and I saw a team of firefighters ready to help but little did they know that they could not do anything because the problem was not with the elevator, it was what was happening inside of me.
