Chapter 44. We Will Surely Meet Again Soon, Anna

The dress fitting finally ended after a long period of subtle tension and veiled words. Emma, along with Anna, Ricard, Jackson, and Logan, walked out of the store, maintaining their polite smiles. The store’s staff carefully carried the bags filled with newly purchased dresses to the cars, and the atmosphere outside seemed fresher after the discreet tension of the afternoon.

At the store’s entrance, they said their goodbyes. Anna, with a clear reluctance, tried to keep Emma a little longer. “Emma, today was so much fun. I hope we can have more days like this,” she said, her eyes full of apparent friendliness.

Emma smiled lightly, playing along with Anna. “I feel the same, Anna. We will surely meet again soon,” she replied, her tone sweet as usual.

Anna wasn’t ready to leave yet and continued chatting, as if wanting to prolong their time together. But eventually, when she could no longer keep Emma, Anna had to say goodbye, though not without promising to meet again
