Chapter 43. Matching Outfits

Anna stood before the large mirror in the dressing room, smiling at Emma, her face brimming with excitement as she came up with an idea. “Emma, how about we wear matching outfits? I mean, we could choose a dress code together; it would be so much fun!” Anna said, her tone as if she were inviting a dear friend to play a fun game.

Emma smiled lightly, but inside, a wave of disgust surged. She couldn’t believe that Anna could so easily suggest this, especially when it was the first time they were meeting. But as always, Emma maintained her calm exterior and agreed, even though she knew this would only deepen her repulsion for Anna’s hypocrisy.
