Sometimes, when your mind is full, time moves strangely.
Too fast.
Too slow.
Or in my case… too loud.
My head wouldn’t stop replaying Adrian’s last words after we made that ridiculous, necessary one-year deal.
“But that’s not why I came, though.”
Then the part that stunned me the most:
“I’m leaving. I’m going back to Italy.”
The words kept circling, looping, and bouncing inside my skull like they were looking for new ways to confuse me.
