Chapter 20

I, commander Michael, Derrick, and the other captains, gathered in the VR room for another meeting. This time, it wasn't just a table that sat at the centre of the room, but the walls of the room were covered with sound proof material, so no one could listen from the outside or interfere with our meeting.

"What exactly happened before you... Died?" commander Michael asked with a subtle voice, and I replied placing my left palm on my forehead,

"I don't really... Know. All I remember is falling asleep and waking up somewhere completely different." 

My commander gave out a sigh, and asked, "... And where was that exactly?"

I raised my face towards him and replied, "It was a room. My room… From six years ago… Before the apocalypse. Everything was so peaceful." 

"How did you know it was your room?" Gregory asked, relaxing on his chair.

I turned to him and answered "Because there was a diary by the side of the bed, and it had my name on it,
