Chapter 23

I was finally back in my room again and back on my bed, wondering when all this would end. We had been at this for a long time and a lot of information had come to light, but I felt like we hadn't made any progress at all. I sighed, and turned to face the wall.

Suddenly, a knock sounded on my door. "Kira, are you in?" Grifo's voice sounded from the other side.

"Grifo? What could he want this early?" I asked in my head.

"Come in," I said, and my door slowly creaked open.

Grifo walked in and waved at me, asking, "Hey, Kira, do you have time to talk?"

I looked around me, then replied with a sigh, "well, it's not like I have anything better to do."

Grifo laughed a bit, sat beside me, then rested his back on the bed. "Well, I guess I'll spend the rest of my day here then," he said with a smile and I replied, giggling,

"Well, be my guest."

"What did you want to talk about?" I asked, curiously. Grifo's eyes popped open, and he sat up.
