Chapter 6
We wasted no time in leaving the building and starting our search for Carla. Don stressed that she shouldn’t be a hard person to find, so we weren’t in much hurry. After checking the theatre arts department building to ensure she was out, we left for her house, Don leading the way. Making one of my little reminisces, I likened the exact point in time to one of those times I trailed Don. This was very similar, only closer. Much, much closer. An icy feeling of deja vu swept across my entire being as I watched him walk.
Usually, when I did my following, I got home after the trail, then recalled his movements for that day, trying as much as my brain could to zoom into moments to give myself a clearer picture. I was quite a pathetic lad then. Now, however, it was like one of those times I zoomed mentally, especially as we were on the route Don took to Amelia’s apartment — one that I had a lot of memories of Don walking through.
