Chapter 15

Chloe, Ryan, and Julie walked to their guest house and found that there were clothes and food in the main room by the entrance to the home. The kids quickly changed into fresh clothes and decided to save the food for the morning.

“I’m exhausted,” Chloe said as she yawned and stretched her arms up above her head. “I’m going to bed. It looks like there are three rooms up on the second floor, two bedrooms and a living room.”

“I’ll sleep on whatever is in the living room,” Ryan offered. “You two take the beds in the bedrooms.

“Okay, thanks,” Chloe said as she walked up the staircase to her room. “Good night.”

Julie and Ryan stayed in the main room, a kitchen and dining room area. They sat down at the table, neither one ready to head to bed yet.

“Thanks,” Julie said, “for letting me and Chloe take the beds.”
