Chapter 23

[Caden’s Backstory]

Victoria had been missing the man for several years but she did not know how to contact him. Could it be even harder? But even if he wouldn’t be handsome as before, her feelings for him would never change at all.

Around eight o’clock in the evening, she went downstairs with his father, Giovanni. Her friends, Dominic and Nicole were waiting downstairs, and she was so excited to see them. The crowd gaped in awe upon seeing her descending their grand staircase, but her eyes were focused on Nicole. 

She was supposed to descend slowly and take her time, but upon seeing how beautiful Nicole was, she immediately ran towards her friend. Nicole was wearing a black ball gown in a two-piece design, and part of her tummy was exposed. 

"You should change your clothes now!” She jested in a low voice, but it was audible enough for Dominic.
