Chapter 53

Sebastian didn't answer, and a few moments later, he snored loudly on her bed. She had no choice but to transfer and let out a sigh as she got out from her sanctuary. She eyed the sofa in the living room, but it wouldn't be comfortable, so she decided to go upstairs and sleep in Sebastian’s room with a much bigger bed.

She considered his drunken state as a blessing in disguise as she lay down in his soft and comfortable bed. Well, he could be dead drunk every night, and she wouldn't mind sleeping on his bed instead. After turning on the air-conditioning unit, she covered herself with the soft comforter and went to sleep.

She didn't know what time it was, but she woke up with something heavy on her thighs. When she opened her eyes, everything felt blurry, as if covered in cobwebs.
