Chapter 19

The ceiling was unfamiliar. The sheets under her feel warm but foreign. The blankets were too thin to the touch but surprisingly she didn’t feel all that cold. Everything around her felt off and alarm bells were starting to ring in her mind. The initial panic started to settle in her gut, making it churn uncomfortably. She sat abruptly, bits and pieces from the night before coming back to her causing her to full-on feel the shivers travel up her spine, racking up sobs from her.

A disoriented Kayden was instantly on his feet hearing familiar cries coming from his mate. Rubbing his eyes, he saw Zayla looking around in panic probably not familiar with where she currently is.
