Chapter 41. Getting It Wrong
As Daryl continued to tighten his grip on Mia’s hair, a whimper of pain ran through her spine. She trembled in fear, wondering how Daryl could pull a trick like that as a vampire with no magical power. Her hands trembled over the cobbled ground. Clammy sweat seep from her pores as her skin crawled and her bones rattled, her muscles screamed of horror that has gripped her.
“I don’t want to fight you, Daryl,” she squeezes out in pain as a mild headache stroke the back of her head. She feels fear on the back of her neck as her mind continued to race with thoughts of how Daryl managed to get hold of Mary’s soul.
“You have not answered my question,” he gnawed. His face turned ire as his eyes narrowed into slit. “Where is Rick?!”
“Before you do something stupid,” she barely said. “You should know he tried to resurrect you.”
