Chapter 44
POV: Harmony Winters
I had watched Rhys pretend to be cool in front of more than two dozens of little kids, and it only got me angrier than I already was. He had no right to show up in Mason’s school, talk more of speak to his classmates without my permission. Who exactly did he think he was to do something like that without telling me about it first?
I had told him we needed to talk, and he nodded his head in a polite manner as he followed me to the stairwell, staying closely behind me. The atmosphere was tensed, and I could tell that different thoughts were probably running through his head at that moment, and he was right to be worried.
When we got to the stairwell, no one else was present, and I figured we could speak to each other without anyone listening in on our conversation since no one else was present apart from both of us.
“Harmony,” he called, as soon as I stopped walking, and stood with my arms crossed as I stared into blank space.
